Band testing

Band testing will take place the week of Oct. 19. Be prepared to play the following major scales ascending and descending: F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb.
Also, I will ask you to play any of the four Concert Band Winter Concert pieces only as far as we have rehearsed during class.

Great job at Open House everyone. I heard good feedback from parents on your performance.
Next week we will have a Friday football game. We will be hosting Wooster Band students and Elementary Band students. It should be fun!

A New School Year

Another school year is upon us! This promises to be an exciting year for the SHS Band.
My immediate goals are to have a smooth opening with all that is on our plate, as well as helping our new members to feel like part of the family.

Wow! Summer is almost over. I can't wait to get started on a new year of music making.
We have an exciting year planned. I have some great music picked out. If you haven't picked up your instrument in a while now is the time.
I hope to see you all at Band Camp on Friday 8/23 at noon. We will have pizza for lunch!

Well let's hear about your Blizzard Experiences!
I had 30 inches of snow. We are all shoveled out and ready to go here in Watertown although my kids did not have school Monday or Tuesday.

The 2012-2013 school year is coming fast! Our first few football games will be at BHS because we are getting new turf at Pender's Field.
We will have a pretty big group this year. I am looking forward to Band Camp on Thursday August 23 from 1-4.
Section leaders will meet from 11-1.
